Our story and our project

Antonio Ghezzani was a classical music student. Graduate of the Livorno Conservatory, he was later a pupil of Alberto Ponce at The Normal University of Paris, becoming the first guitar of the "Philharmonie de Fontainebleau Orchestra" while performing the "Concierto de Aranjuez". During his career he wanted to play every kind of music nationally and internationally: rock, songwriting, classical eastern and western music, Mediterranean folk, etc… Among others, Antonio has been playing for years, live and in studio with the Italian songwriter Bobo Rondelli, with the singer Anna Granata, attending the famous Italian award named "Premio Tenco", and with the folk band Carneigra.
With many years of study on the instrument, Antonio decided to combine his work as a musician with that of Master Luthier and in 2012 he opened his own workshop named TuGuitars.

Stefano Dentone is a typical underground musician. When he was a kid he founded his own rock'n'roll band named Big Boss Band and, at the same time, he started a soloist career. Over the years, in addition to a lot of concerts and many cds, he was co-author of the “Science Festival of Genoa” hymn and later, with the band The Running Chickens, he released the album "Communication Lines Restored" by MS Records, obtaining excellent reviews by the specialized press. Shortly after this album was finished, he met the American producer Lynn Verlayne in the 2013 and he travelled to New York City to cut the EP “Stefano” at the Bunker Studio in Brooklyn.
Over the years, Stefano has also specialized in the activity of recording, mixing and mastering. From 2016 he offers his knowledge to all the artists who turn to the label founded together with Antonio and named Roots Rebels Records.

The Stefano Dentone & Antonio Ghezzani project started in 2014 and aims to be "self-made" for all purposes: songs with original music and lyrics, guitars built by  Antonio, albums recorded by Stefano at his own studio, booking and management through the establishment of their own independent label.
So in February 2016 the first album titled "Teatro Staller" saw the light through the brand of the newly formed Roots Rebels Records. Among the many dates that have seen the duo promote the album, the opening concert for the famous italian guitar player Federico Poggipollini in Pisa and the show, as guests, to Buscadero Day, an annual event organized by the famous italian rock magazine Buscadero. Yet in 2016 they have started working with the Dimitri/Canessa Theatre Company in the play "... of Juliet and her Romeo" presented on stages all over Italy. In 2017, again for Roots Rebels Records, a new album titled "I Pugilatori". The record is presented at the The Cage Theater in Livorno in a concert opening at Bob Log III and receives excellent awards from the specialized press. In addition to the numerous live shows throughout Italy, are worthy of note the presentations of the album at the Etrusca Blues 2017 and the second consecutive participation at Buscadero Day in the 2017 edition. During 2018 Antonio and Stefano produce "Starship Prisoners" an album by the songwriter Alessandro Cheli and "Tongue Pajamas" an EP by a rock band from Pistoia named Kuirino. The activity with live concerts continues incessantly and, at the end of June, Stefano and Antonio release the new album titled "Spirali Impazzite".
